I like the sparkle,
clear and sharp,
as it trickles down my glass.
I like her laced with mint and citrus,
and a dash of soda,
I like the way she slides down, filling my veins.
She settles upon my spirits,
dry and rustling,
the shores of my soul awash.
She hums in my veins,
the sharp melody of a glinting dagger,
and to it my spirits shall gladly dance.
